Storytelling Projects
Through photographic portraits and personal stories, these projects were produced in collaboration with writer and researcher, Lucy Tomlinson…often funny, sometimes touching, always interesting and enlightening, they were a joy to produce. With a focus on community, connection and work they provide a snapshot in time of how we live our lives today, the common threads between us all and how we rely on one another every day.
Through these projects Lucy and I have photographed and interviewed 75 people to date. The projects would be just ideas without these subjects generously sharing their time and stories with us and we are incredibly grateful to them all.
Sonya put us at ease during the photoshoot and captured us looking so natural and relaxed. The photos far exceeded our expectations and I get emotional everytime I look at them! Sonya’s photos so beautifully capture our two year old girl and our lovely family moments. We will cherish them forever.
